New Online Medical Information Resources

Hirsh Health Sciences Library and Tufts University Alumni Association (TUAA) have funded an additional online library resource available free of charge to Tufts alumni. Tufts alumni may access MEDLINE through the Ovid search engine. The Ovid MEDLINE database contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 4,600 biomedical journals published in the United States and in 70 other countries. The database contains well over 13 million citations dating back to the mid-1960’s, and covers the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, healthcare systems, and pre-clinical sciences. Under Your Journals@Ovid, alumni will also have full text access to the nineteen Current Opinion titles in: Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Cardiology, Clinical Nutrition & Metabolic Care, Endocrinology & Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Infectious Diseases, Lipidology, Nephrology & Hypertension, Neurology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Organ Transplantation, Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Pediatrics, Rheumatology and Urology.
