Laptop Lending

Tisch Library laptops and laptop accessories are loaned to current Tufts students who are actively enrolled in a degree program at Tufts University.  Each student must present his/her own current, valid Tufts ID to borrow a laptop and/or laptop accessories. Laptops and laptop accessories are loaned to users for 3 hours.  There are no renewals.  Overdue fees are $5.00 per hour for the laptop and $5.00 per hour for the laptop accessories. All users are responsible for replacement fees for lost/stolen/damaged/unreturned Tisch Library collection materials and equipment, including laptops and laptop accessories. Unresolved charges are forwarded to the user’s Bursar account.

All items are verified at checkout and return. Charges for individual accessory items missing from the laptop carrying case will be added to the user’s Tisch Library account.

Tisch Library laptops are intended for use in Tisch Library only.  Laptop users are expected to comply with the Tufts University Information Technology Responsible Use Policy.  A copy of the policy is included in the manual located in the carrying case and can also be found at University Information Technology website .
