Tisch Library offers workshops during the fall and spring semesters. Workshop schedules are posted at the start of each semester. For more information or to suggest a workshop topic, email Laurie Sabol.

All workshops take place in the Electronic Resources Center, Room 223, Tisch Library.

 

Introduction to RefWorks

This introductory workshop to RefWorks covers the following topics: creating a RefWorks account; using folders to organize your references; creating references; generating bibliographies in the citation style of your choice; and inserting references as in-text citations, footnotes, or endnotes into your research papers.

Note: All Spring 2012 semester RefWorks workshops have been completed. We will resume our RefWorks workshops in the fall. In the interim, the following options are available for learning about RefWorks:

Introduction to EndNote

This introductory workshop to EndNote covers the following topics: setting up an EndNote library; using custom groups to organize your references; creating references; generating bibliographies in the citation style of your choice; and using the EndNote Cite While You Write utility with Microsoft Word to insert references as in-text citations, footnotes, or endnotes into your research papers.

Note: All Spring 2012 semester EndNote workshops have been completed. We will hold regular EndNote workshops in the Fall. In the interim, the following options are available for learning about EndNote:

Small Group Sessions on RefWorks and EndNote

The Tisch Library Research Librarians are pleased to offer custom tutorials on RefWorks, EndNote, or citation tools in general for small groups. These usually focus on a specific course, research interest, or collaborative project. The sessions are taught by subject experts who will highlight relevant literature databases for the group while demonstrating the tool(s) at hand.
