Before the Tufts Poetry Walk, members of the Holmes family met in Digital Collections and Archives to review early selections from the John Holmes archives.
In the third year in a row, the Tufts Poetry Walk was rained out and poems had to be read inside.
John Holmes widow, Doris Eyges, read The Certainty and then told a story about the poem. It was commissioned by the Steuben Glass Company, which also commissioned a glass piece in a modern style, which was displayed in its showroom on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
