Franz Wright, recipient of the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry in 2004 for Walking to Martha’s Vineyard, gave the first John Holmes Memorial Poetry Reading, sponsored jointly by the Friends of Tufts Libraries and the English Department, to celebrate Tufts’ poetry reading tradition.
