Finding Articles in ABI/INFORM

HOW TO FIND AN ARTICLE IN ABI/INFORM WHEN YOU HAVE A CITATION

You have the following citation:

H. Alderman and K. Lindert, “The Potential and Limitations of Self-Targeted Food Subsidies,” The World Bank Research Observer, Vol. 13, No. 2 (Aug. 1998).

To find it in the ABI Inform database, go to the Ginn Library home page, choose Journals and Databases, the A-Z list, and A for ABI Inform. Enter your Tufts ID number if required. At the Proquest page, check the box for ABI Inform and click continue.

Method 1

  1. Click the tab for Publication Search.
  2. Enter the beginning of the journal title, World Bank Research, and click the search button.
  3. Click on the link to the title that appears.
  4. Scroll through the volumes and issues to find volume 13, number 2 and click on it.
  5. Scroll to the title you are searching for and click on the format you would like to view.

Method 2

  1. Click the tab for Advanced Search.
  2. Enter a few words from the title (potential and limitations) in the first box and select Article Title in the drop-down menu to the right of the box.
  3. In the second box enter the beginning of the journal title (world bank) and choose Publication Title from the drop-down menu to the right of that box.
  4. It is possible to limit the date range as well, but not necessary.
  5. Click the search button.
  6. Choose the format you would like to view.
