ACCESS TO OTHER LIBRARIES

Tufts Libraries

Fletcher Students have access to all of the Tufts Libraries and can borrow materials from them with their Fletcher ID. Ginn Library and Tisch Library have complementary collections (searched through one unified catalog) so it is likely that students will find useful material in the Tisch Library collection as well as at Ginn.

Harvard Libraries

Fletcher Students may obtain a Harvard College Libraries Special Borrower’s card from the Privileges Office at Widener Library (9:00 to 4:45, Monday through Friday only). This card enables Fletcher students to borrow materials from many of the Harvard Libraries, including Widener, Littauer, the Center for International Affairs, Center for European Studies, the Kennedy School, the Law School and other Harvard Libraries.
Fletcher students can get access to the Baker Library (Business School) and the Gutman Library (Graduate School of Education) with their Fletcher ID, but do not have borrowing privileges at those libraries.
Please see the Reference Librarian for more information. A list of the Harvard Libraries with hours and maps is available on their website.

Boston Library Consortium

The Boston Library Consortium is a group of academic and research libraries in New England that share resources. Fletcher students have access and borrowing privileges at these libraries. Please see the Reference Librarian to apply for a BLC card and to get a booklet containing the policies of the different libraries. Participating libraries include Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis, Brown, MIT, Northeastern, the State Library of Massachusetts, University of Massachusetts and Wellesley College.
