Database with searching capabilities of animal taxonomic names with access to old zoological literature including all zoological taxa described between 1757 and 1764. Links to the digital editions of taxonomic literature including various editions of Linnaeus. The project has various collaborators that may add information to the database.

This database contains information added by trained curators in addition to bibliographic records from MEDLINE and other well-known databases. The database includes studies of wildlife, companion, and livestock animals, where either the exposure or the health effect could be considered potentially relevant to human health.

Medline (Ovid) 1950- [Indexes and Abstracts]
MEDLINE contains over 11 million journal citations and abstracts in the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, healthcare systems, and pre-clinical sciences. Ovid's version links from citations to its evidence-based-medicine databases, articles available full text @Tufts, and ILLiad. Click More Limits to restrict results to subsets for bioethics, dentistry, complementary medicine and others; particular publication types or age groups; and other factors.

NBII Wildlife Disease Information Node 2002 [Indexes and Abstracts]
WDIN is a collaborative project working to develop a Web-based monitoring and reporting system to provide state and federal resource managers, animal disease specialists, veterinary diagnostic laboratories, physicians, public health workers, educators, and the general public with access to data on wildlife diseases, mortality events, and other critical related information. Data are contributed voluntarily, with partners deciding which data they choose to share. The resulting distributed wildlife disease data warehouse can be a valuable resource for all to share and use to enhance the understanding, surveillance, management, control, and prevention of wildlife diseases around the world.

VIN is free to veterinary students, residents and faculty.
World Animal Health Information Database 2004 [Indexes and Abstracts]
The WAHID Interface provides access to all data held within OIE's new World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS). A comprehensive range of information is available for disease events; six-monthly reports describing the OIE-listed disease situations in each country; annual reports providing further background information on animal health, on laboratory and vaccine production facilities, etc.
