Primal Pictures for Dentistry

The Hirsh Health Sciences Library has added Primal Pictures for Dentistry to the list of databases hosted on the Ovid Medline platform. This product features over 100 3D views of head, neck, face, oral and nasal cavities, dentition, individual teeth in 3D and cross section, and much more. Related text, as well as dissections, clinical slides, annotated illustrations, video clips, and functional anatomy animations you can rotate are also a part of this resource.

EcoSal

The Hirsh Health Sciences Library would like to highlight the resource EcoSal: Escherichia coli and Salmonella. EcoSal, is a continually updated Web resource based on the ASM Press publication Escherichia coli and Salmonella: Cellular and Molecular Biology.

According to its home page , EcoSal is a comprehensive, coherent archive of the entire corpus of knowledge on the enteric bacterial cell—. It is comprised of several hundred modules of information and interpretation with links to cognate sites containing extensive tabular and pictorial presentations, as well as to active databases of primary research information.

New Journal From AAAS

Launched on October 7, 2009 by AAAS, the journal Science Translational Medicine will focus on "practical medical advances that result from of all stages of translational medicine, bridging the research-to-application gap. "
