About Ovid

Ovid is a powerful web-based commercial software developed to search bibliographic and full-text databases. Once familiar with the basic features of the interface, searching skills can be applied to the many databases offered through Ovid. Ovid MEDLINE offers users the following options: saving searches, ability to limit results to locally owned titles, links to full-text articles, links to Evidence Based Medicine Reviews, and much more.

Tufts subscribes to the following databases via Ovid: AARP Ageline, ACP Journal Club, CAB Abstracts, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, DARE, HealthSTAR, MEDLINE, PsychINFO, Books@Ovid and Your Journals@Ovid, which are described in detail in Ovid's User Guides.
