Members of the Tufts community can register with ILLiad in order to:

• Submit requests electronically for books, articles, theses, patents, and more
• Order articles directly from databases via
• Save your contact and account information for future use
• Track current and outstanding requests
• View and print articles (PDF format)
• Keep a record of titles you have requested in the past

BLC Virtual Catalog

Members of the Tufts community can enter their library barcode number and search the BLC Virtual Catalog in order to:

• Simultaneously search many Boston Library Consortium library catalogs
• Request some books, audiovisual materials, etc. that are unavailable at any of the Tufts University Libraries for no charge
• Pick up and return these materials at Hirsh Health Sciences Library

Journal articles should be obtained through ILLiad

Loansome Doc

Tufts/Tufts Medical Center staff, alumni, associate members, & non-Tufts affiliates can register with Hirsh Health Sciences Library and Loansome Doc in order to:

• Request copies of articles found on PubMed
• View and print articles (PDF format)
