Browsing by Clerkship

Folders for symptoms or chief complaints, diagnoses, procedures and skills associated with a clerkship can be browsed by clicking the links below. These folders can also be browsed on TUSK from the Clerkships menu, via Useful Links on its homepage, and on Patient Log Default Reports.

Searching for a Topic via TUSK's Search Tab

• Enter a phrase or keyword into the Keyword box and limit by Media Type to URL. Check any relevant UMLS concepts and click search again.
  • Tip: Phrases should be enclosed by quotation marks.
    • Example: "abdominal pain" gives about 20 URLs.
  • Tip: Asterisk is the wildcard.
    • Example: depress* retrieves links containing depressive, depression, depressed, etc.
  • Tip: Include synonyms within parentheses for a comprehensive search.
    • Example: (antihypertensive anti-hypertensive hypertensi*) gives more than 50 links.
• If you want to search in a particular resource, enter its name in the Document Title box.
  • Tip: select a unique word in the title or enclose several in quotation marks.
    • Example: cochrane will retrieve all systematic reviews selected from the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews.
    • Example: "diagnostic tests" retrieves links to chapters in these e-books:
      • Clinical Use of Pediatric Diagnostic Tests
      • Delmar's Guide to Laboratory and Diagnostic Tests
      • Interpretation of Diagnostic Tests
