About the Boston Library Consortium

The Tufts University Hirsh Health Sciences Library is a member of the the Boston Library Consortium, a cooperative association of nineteen academic and research libraries. The Consortium supports resource sharing and enhancement of services to users through programs in cooperative collecting, access to electronic resources, access to physical collections, and enhanced interlibrary loan and document delivery.

The BLC is currently in the process of changing interlibrary loan systems. As of Tuesday, June 17, 2009, the Virtual Catalog system will be unavailable. All pending requests will be processed. In the meantime, to request books, journal articles, and audio visual materials that are unavailable at any of the Tufts University libraries, please use ILLiad.
