The following fee schedule applies to ILLiad requests made by members of the Tufts Community. For fee information regarding document delivery services for other users, please see Request Articles and Books.

Fee Schedule

N.B.: Charges are doubled for copy requests of greater than 50 pages each.

* Tufts students attending an academic program away from the Boston-area for an extended period of time, may request items available at HHSL at no charge. Please explain in the Notes field on the ILLiad request.

**For items from non-Tufts Libraries, students are charged $4 per request once they have ordered more than 20 items within an academic year.

***For books and audiovisual items that must be sent by expedited shipping carriers (from the lending library to HHSL), add a $25 flat shipping fee.

Remitting Payment

HHSL sends out invoices monthly. Once received, payment can be made via appropriate Tufts deptID, credit card (no Tufts Pcards), or (U.S.) check made out to Tufts Hirsh Health Sciences Library and brought in-person/mailed to:

No-Fee Services

Members of the Tufts community with special needs may request items free of charge. See, Library Services for Special Needs for more information.

In addition, all members of the Tufts community may request items owned by a Tufts library, other than HHSL, for free. Please indicate in the Notes field of the ILLiad request form whether you are unwilling to pay for items from non-Tufts libraries, in case we are unable to retrieve the item from the Tufts collection.

Lastly, Tufts students attending an academic program away from the Boston-area for an extended period of time, may request items available at HHSL at no charge. Please explain in the Notes field on the ILLiad request.
