This database contains information added by trained curators in addition to bibliographic records from MEDLINE and other well-known databases. The database includes studies of wildlife, companion, and livestock animals, where either the exposure or the health effect could be considered potentially relevant to human health.

Compendex     [Indexes and Abstracts]

Compendex is the online version of Engineering Index. It covers all of the literature in engineering, but is particularly good for civil, mechanical, and chemical engineering. For standard service a password is not required. For enhanced service providing personalization, alerting, and search history, you will need to create an account with a password.

It is a relational database of chemicals, jobs and diseases. The Haz-Map Jobs table is based on the 1997 Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system. The Industries table is based on the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). The Diseases table is based on the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9). Information from textbooks, journal articles, and electronic databases (HSDB, ACGIH Documentation of TLVs, ATSDR Toxicological Profiles, NIOSHTIC, and others) was classified and summarized to create the database.

Contains information on the recognition and evaluation of chemical agents, physical agents, and biohazards in the workplace, engineering control of exposure, and personal protection.

Patty's Toxicology     [Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, and Handbooks]

Provides comprehensive toxicological data for industrial compounds. Included are CAS numbers, RTECS numbers, physical and chemical properties, threshold limit values (TLV's), permissible exposure limits (PEL's), maximum workplace concentrations (MAK), and biological tolerance values for occupational exposures (BAT).

Public Documents Masterfile     [Indexes and Abstracts]

An electronic guide to federal, state, local and international public documents, spanning over 200 years of publication, in a single searchable database.
