This collection of clinical textbooks can be browsed by clicking on the book jacket or searched using natural language or Boolean logic. It includes atlases, compendia of diagnostic tests, drugs and evidence-based treatment reviews, as well as works on biochemistry, cardiology, dentistry, endocrinology, internal medicine, neurology, nutrition, oncology, psychiatry, public health, and pulmonology.

Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews     [Indexes and Abstracts]

Regularly updated systematic reviews of the effects of healthcare with implications for clinical practice. The database also contains protocols for reviews in development. Ovid MEDLINE links from articles reviewed by these systematic reviews via its EBM Topic Review links. Because of problems with our PubMed icons, users should search the database directly for known citations.

Compendex     [Indexes and Abstracts]

Compendex is the online version of Engineering Index. It covers all of the literature in engineering, but is particularly good for civil, mechanical, and chemical engineering. For standard service a password is not required.For enhanced service providing personalization, alerting, and search history, you will need to create an account with a password.

Derwent Innovations Index     [Indexes and Abstracts]

A resource for patent literature from 40 patent issuing authorities. Uses the ISI search interface and links forward in time to citing patents and backwards in time to cited patents. Coverage from some source patents begins in 1963.

Google Scholar     [Indexes and Abstracts]

Includes journal and conference papers, theses and dissertations, academic books, pre-prints, abstracts, technical reports and other scholarly literature from all broad areas of research. Contains full text links to a few of Tufts subscribed databases such as Pubmed and scholarly articles that are available anywhere across the web.

Lexicomp Online for Dentistry     [Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, and Handbooks]

Its drug monographs can be searched by keyword. Pills and other pharmaceuticals can be identified by shape, color and markings. Detailed color photographs, drawings, and radiographs are included. The following works and topics can also be browsed: Dental-Office Medical Emergencies, Natural Therapeutics, Clinician's Endodontic Handbook, Oral Soft- and Hard-Tissue Diseases, Manual of Dental Implants, Manual of Clinical Periodontics, Oral Surgery for the General Dentist, and Illustrated Handbook of Clinical Dentistry.

MedlinePlus     [Indexes and Abstracts]

The US National Library of Medicine maintains this guide to health information, which lists authoritative websites by topic, directories of healthcare organizations, a medical encyclopedia and dictionaries, health information in Spanish, information on prescription and over-the-counter drugs, health news, and links to clinical trials.

An aggregate of databases with access to full text journals and books providing information from the following fields: Medicine, Veterinary medicine, Nursing, Allied health and Dentistry.

PubMed Legacy (customized for Tufts)     [Indexes and Abstracts]

The customized PubMed link provides access to NCBI's databases with links out to articles licensed by Tufts. Its MEDLINE content contains over 11 million journal citations and abstracts in the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, healthcare systems, and pre-clinical sciences. Full-text coverage of journals licensed or owned by Tufts is available via blue Tufts print and electronic icons on its Abstract display below each citation. Links to free full text and to Tufts' holdings appear to the right of the search results.

The New PubMed contains an updated interface and promises a responsive layout that better supports small-screen devices. This is a customized link that provides access to NCBI's databases with links out to articles licensed by Tufts. Access to 3 modules, "U.S. Businesses," "HealthCare" and "OneSource." "U.S. Businesses" is a database of 14 million U.S. businesses containing verified data, updated monthly. Search by business name and type, executive title, sales volume, year established and more. "HealthCare" provides detailed information about 855,000 physicians and dentists, searchable by name, gender, state of license, medical school attended, and other criteria. "OneSource" provides basic and in-depth information about companies, industries, and executives from the United States and internationally.
