Steps for Synching Multiple Camera Video Footage

Ideally whenever you film with multiple cameras, a clapper or some other device will be used to establish a sync point for the cameras. A sync point simply means a frame that can be used to synchronize the the two video clips that will be dragged into the timeline in Premiere Pro - one for Camera A, one for Camera B. There will be times when no sync point has been established. In those situations, try the following:
  1. Drop clips in. Make sure that each video and audio track
  2. Play both clips to see which has the best audio
  3. Double click on one that is not the master audio
  4. Right click in source window to display audio waveform
  5. Play and scrub to find the sync point –one frame before audio starts Set in point
  6. Play audio master
  7. Find sync point on audio master
  8. Set CTI to in point of audio Note the offset between two
  9. Slide camera 2 (non audio) into position at that in point
