Training

Initially, our Berger group met to assess the varied levels of expertise each member brought to the table. The scope of talent and experience was quite impressive. We determined that it was wise to identify individual and collective subject/skill areas requiring additional training and we attempted to address the issue of differing learning styles by identifying training in various formats including electronic self-guided, tutorials, individual and group classroom instruction.

Our research on training opportunities covered online tutorials, onsite and offsite classroom training, and instructional manuals. We consulted with academic institutions such as Boston University, Emerson College and New England School of Photography. Additionally, community-based resources such as the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, Springstep, and the Medford Arts Collaborative were tapped in order to obtain referrals of educators, private consultants, and media professionals currently working in the field.
