Monitor |
Actually two windows: Source – used for selecting the portions of clips to be used in the movie Program – open and view sequences that you are editing |
Timeline |
This is the virtual canvass of your movie. This is what your film will actually look like. |
Capture |
Used for getting video into your project from an external source (DV Camera, VCR, CD Player, etc.). Also used for logging clips in preparation for batch capture. |
Audio |
Shows the audio level of the clip that is playing (if it has audio) |

Provides access to selection and editing tools |
