Position Title: Library Technology Support Assistant
Department: Library Information Technology Support (LITS)

Job Overview: Assist the Tisch Library Information Technology Support Office staff in a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of the library PC systems and equipment.
After initial training period, follows established work schedule under the supervision of the LITS staff.
Insures that users are informed on status of problems and their resolution. Must comply with all Federal copyright law by not copying software illegally.
Job Duties:
- Assists in the installation and relocation of PCs and other
equipment.
- Assists in the installation and upgrades of PC software.
- Assists in ongoing maintenance of library PCs.
- Provides hardware and software trouble-shooting assistance
to library staff.
- Provides technical assistance in the use of various operating
systems and program packages.
- Reports all problems whether resolved or not.
- Maintains hardware and software inventories.
- Assists in testing new products.
- Performs errands and office duties for LITS staff.
Requirements: Familiarity with one or more: Windows XP Workstation and Server. HTML. Standard
office applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and
communications software. A real interest in computers is strongly
encouraged.
May be asked to lift and move equipment and boxes.
Hours Per Week: Job is available for 10-20 hours per week during the following shift:
To be arranged, between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
