The President, Provost, AS&E Deans, Executive Committee, Library Committee and Tisch Library Administrative Services heard the concerns expressed at the recent faculty meeting over the University's Policy on Fair Use of Copyrighted Material including that faculty effort, which is most effectively directed to teaching and research, will be diverted to the effort of securing publisher permissions. All of the parties named are taking these faculty concerns seriously and we are reviewing the situation, actively communicating with each other and with administrators at other universities and we will keep you informed.
