US Presidential Elections Exhibit (posted: April 2, 2008)
A new exhibit is on display in the Tisch Microforms and Current Periodicals Department. It showcases the front pages of the New York Times after the United States presidential elections, arranged in chronological order beginning from the 33rd president, Woodrow Wilson, in 1916 to the 43th president, George W. Bush, in 2004. (Click here for more of the story)

Emergency Buttons (posted: March 25, 2008)
Emergency buttons are now installed throughout the library. The buttons should be used only in emergency situations (e.g. you can't get to a staff person or call the Tufts Police). The emergency buttons are silent alarms and will only sound in the Tufts Police department.
It's important to the library that our users feel secure so please take the time to familiarize yourself with the 8
locations:
Level 3: one on the column near the door to the roof
Level 2 (main level): one at each stairwell door at the rear of the building
Level 1: one at each stairwell door at the rear of the building and one at the bottom of the central stairs
Level G: one near the stairwell door opposite the elevator and one in the hemicycle

Active Electrical Outlets (posted: March 25, 2008)
Additional outlets have been installed in the Hirsh Reading Room and all outlets in the room are activated.
