iPads available for checkout at Tisch
Tisch Library has five iPads for borrowing. The iPads can be checked out for a 4 hour period at the Circulation Desk and come with many preloaded apps for reference, local and world news, entertainment, STEM, video conferencing, and productivity. Some of the apps include iMovie, Evernote, and Wolfram-Alpha. Internet and email access also are available on the iPads. More info.
Friends of Tufts Libraries Author Talk: Mary Keenan, J58, G59
Mary Keenan will discuss her book, In Haste, Julia, which tells the story of Julia Robbins Barrett (1819-1900) of Lexington & Concord on 15 February at 3:30 PM in the Hirsh Reading Room. Robbins Barrett was an abolitionist, artist, and suffragist. The 11th Maxine Newberg Gordon, J70, Book Prize, awarded to a math major who has demonstrated a love of reading, literature, and poetry, will precede the talk.
Citation Tools Workshops: EndNote & RefWorks
EndNote and RefWorks are high-powered bibliographic citation management tools that enable users to capture references, embed them in research papers, and create instant bibliographies. This spring, the Library Reference staff is offering 60-minute workshops on these tools.

Tisch Library has a new monetary award recognizing outstanding undergraduate use of the library and the development of expertise in an exemplary research paper or project. 1st and 2nd place awards, $500 and $250, respectively, will be given out for the first year writing program, 001-099 courses and 100-199 courses.
