About this Project:

Margaret Henderson Floyd (1932-1997) was founder of the architectural studies program at Tufts University, an expert on Boston architecture, and an influential preservationist. She bequeathed her extensive collection of photographic slides to the Department of Art & Art History at Tufts. The collection is a unique resource for the study New England architecture and the Romanesque Revival, as well as for the work of H. H. Richardson, the firm Longfellow, Alden, and Harlow, and others.

In the summer of 2010 the Visual Resources Manager in Art History and staff at the Tisch Library began a project to organize, catalog, and digitize the slide collection. We have created this web site as a portal to Professor Floyd’s architectural photography.
