How to Create Full-Text Links to Tufts Library
Licensed Material
- To ensure the Tufts community access to articles both on- and off-campus, it is necessary to construct a url that authenticates Tufts users and enables their login to the licensed resources.
- Below are instructions for creating full-text links to journal articles, listed by electronic publisher. For instructions for creating full-text links to additional licensed resources, see Tisch Library's How to Link to Articles in Library Databases.
- For help, contact Betsy Like, Room 108 in the Webster Veterinary Library, tel: 87925, email: Betsy.Like@tufts.edu.
STEP 1: Make sure the library has electronic access to the journal article. To do this, search the Tufts University Library Catalog for the journal title. Be sure to check the dates of online coverage, and make sure the article you wish to link to falls within those dates. If the library does not have online access to your article, the following directions will not be applicable.
STEP 2: Find out who the Electronic Publisher is for your journal. Check the table of veterinary journals and their electronic publishers owned by the Webster Veterinary Library (table opens in new window). If the journal you are looking for is not listed, contact Betsy Like in the Webster Veterinary Library.
STEP 3: Use the publisher-specific instructions below to create a full-text link to your article. If the publisher you are looking for is not listed, contact Betsy Like in the library.
