Software Licenses
Endnote
Endnote is a bibliographic software management tool that allows you to search bibliographic databases and retrieve references, creating your own database. In addition, End Note is reference database software that allows you store, manage and search for bibliographic references in your private database using the results to create a bibliography of cited works automatically. Training is available at the library. Please contact Grafton ITS regarding volume purchases.
Refworks
RefWorks is web-based bibliographic management software that allows users to import references from online databases and create your own personal databases. Use the references in writing papers, and automatically format the paper and bibliography in seconds. As a web-based product, RefWorks is available to users across various platforms including Windows, Mac, Unix, etc. RefWorks differs from Endnote in that your database of citations is stored on a web server; you do not have to install software but you do need access to the Internet. You can export from and import to Endnote if necessary. There is no cost for using RefWorks; access for Tufts Authorized users is a service provided by the Libraries. To set up a RefWorks account, contact Betsy Like. Training is available at the Library.
Microsoft Campus Agreement
On July 1, 2001, Tufts University entered into a Microsoft Campus Agreement. The Campus Agreement is an annual licensing program (much like a subscription) which provides Tufts faculty and staff with access to a variety of Microsoft products. Click here to view the list and agreement. See the Grafton ITS Web Site for more information.
